There is no recommended time of day to take MiraLAX^®. Begin taking MiraLAX^® at the first signs of constipation and continue taking until you experience relief (up to seven days).

Adults and children ages 17 and older should take 17 grams of powder once a day. Use the MiraLAX^® bottle top to measure 17g by filling to the indicated line (white section in cap). Mix and dissolve into 4-8 ounces of any beverage (hot, cold or room temperature). Single-dose packets of MiraLAX^® are also available.

Do not use MiraLAX^® more than seven days. If you need to use a laxative for longer than one week, stop use and consult your doctor.

MiraLAX^® is intended to be taken once a day. Talk to your doctor before taking MiraLAX^® more than once per day.

MiraLAX^® generally produces a bowel movement in one to three days. Because it works naturally with the water in your body without causing harsh side effects, you do not need to worry about sudden urgency.

MiraLAX^® does not cause harsh side effects such as gas, bloating, cramping or sudden urgency, only gentle, predictable relief from occasional constipation. When using this product, you may have loose, watery or more frequent stools.

It is not recommended to use MiraLAX^® beyond the labeled expiration date.
